The story of the 9. company in Russian Vietnam...

Director: Fyodor Bondarchuk
Cast: Fyodor Bondarchuk; Aleksey Chadov; Mikhail Yevlanov; Ivan Kokorin; Artyom Mikhalkov; Konstantin Kryukov; Artur Smolyaninov; Mikhail Porechenkov; Irina Rakhmanova; Aleksei Serebryakov; Mikhail Efremov; Aleksei Kravchenko; Andrei Krasko; Stanislav Govorukhin; Aleksandr Bashirov

This movie has everything the good war movie has to have: Action, fight, killings and not too much romance. It also has what I would call "many main characters." You will learn about their backgrounds and different stories. Allthough they are from different parts of the Soviet Union and of different social statuses they need to learn how to support each other and work together as a team. No one can be left behind. They need to learn all of this because at the end the 9. company forgotten by the retreating Soviet army is fighting their last fight in the Afghan mountains...
